Shri Hemant Verma has recently been appointed as the full-time Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Punjab & Sind Bank, with effect from 1st September 2025.
Prior to this role, he held the position of Chief General Manager and served as the Zonal Head, Kolkata for Punjab National Bank where he managed large-scale banking operations with a focus on strategic growth and operational excellence.
Shri Verma has had a distinguished career that blends cutting-edge technology expertise with strategic banking leadership. During his career in Punjab National Bank, he held several leadership positions including Chief Technology Officer (CTO), where he spearheaded transformative initiatives in the areas of Core Banking Systems, Digital Transformation, Cyber and Information Security, Project & Vendor Management, Regulatory Technology and Business Development.
During his service as Chief Technology Officer at Oriental Bank of Commerce, Shri Verma led the Bank's Information Technology Department. His strong foundation in networking and security, honed during his early career, positioned him to lead the Bank’s Primary Data Centre with distinction. Besides Data Centres and IT infrastructure, he was responsible for overseeing all technology developments across the Bank. He played a key role in the successful implementation of the Enterprise Data Warehouse Project, integrating critical components such as Enterprise Fraud Risk Management, Early Warning Signals, and Risk-Based Supervision.
Widely respected for his expertise in Payment Systems, Transaction Processing, and Core Banking Solutions, Shri Verma has been instrumental in driving technological advancements and fostering innovation in the banking sector.
A graduate in computer engineering and a certified JAIIB professional, he is also a CISA-certified expert. He also served as a Nominee Director on the Board of National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) since 2022 till August 2025, contributing significantly to the advancement of the payment’s ecosystem.
With over 33 years of rich and diverse banking experience, his journey reflects not only professional excellence but also a steadfast commitment to building resilient, transparent and future-ready Banking institutions.

A New Internet Banking and Mobile Banking Solution - PSB UnIC for Retail Customers including NRE/NRO and PSB UnIC Biz for Sole Proprietor customers and Corporate Customers has been rolled out successfully by the Bank bringing UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS and many more banking services under one platform.
Please note that our customers have already been notified that the old Internet Banking Portal of the Bank will be pulled down by 28.02.2022. The Funds Transfer services were blocked for Retail Internet Banking Customers since 09.01.2022. However, our old Internet Banking Portal was running parallelly for the last few days for the benefit of old Retail and Corporate Internet Banking Customers. It has now been decided that the Old Internet Banking will be pulled down on midnight of 21.03.2022. Bill Payments and Tax Payments ( OLTAS and GST) can be done through PSB UnIC digital platform. Bill Payment services are moved to PSB UnIC from 16.03.2022 onwards and the OLTAS functionality will be live from 18.03.2022 through PSB UnIC.
Our existing old Internet Banking customers ( Retail and Sole Propriership) who are yet to register in PSB UnIC are requested to make a onetime registration by visiting our website: https://punjabandsindbank.co.in and by clicking on PSB UnIC and choosing appropriate Option as follows:
And submit the duly signed application form along with required documents Viz. Board Resolution / Partnership Letter with Deed / Trust, Society, Club Resolution Letter/ HUF Letter etc. and also the KYC documents of the Authorised Users immediately to the parent Branch.
These corporate customers will be sent a registration kit through email after submission of the above documents. By Using the credentials in the mail, the corporate customers are requested to register by following the instructions contained in the email and start availing the benefit of PSB UnIC Biz services.
